January

Miss Escalera's Birthday
.....was January 3rd :) On the first day back to school, we began "Estimation Station!" We broke in the new game with the Guess How Old Miss Escalera is poll! Hilarious to hear their guesses.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
of course was the next unit. The kids were super engaged and interested in learning about him.  (Basically the main thing they kept remembering about him was that he was shot -__- But it was still a lot of fun teaching!)

Hibernation

I hardly have any pictures of our mini-hibernation unit, but we will finish it this week with some groundhog stuff :) We are learning LOTS of hibernation songs!

Last but not least....

SEAHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are big hawks fans here-- football fans or NOT -- and love supporting the Pacific Northwest!!!

All 100 of the kinders with Seahawks foam hands they colored.  We DID have a few 49s and Bronco fans (yikes) but they were good sports about it.

Inspires great writing and math games :)

We have two brave and bold Bronco fans that fessed up :) Not a fan that they love Broncos but I AM a fan that they were comfortable enough to go against the grain! Tough to do in Kindergarten!

Sing to the tune of "If you're happy and you know it"

A panoramic view of our wall outside the classroom!!!!!!!!!

Some of the football players we made today.

12th man support!!!!!!!!!!!!!
